It’s Your Business – w/guest Barbara Stapleton

 India Yarborough sits down with the Greater Topeka Partnership’s Barbara Stapleton, who serves as vice president of business retention and talent initiatives for the organization.

Yarborough asks Stapleton about Choose Topeka’s evolution from a talent relocation initiative that sought to match local employers with professionals interested in moving to the area to a program that now includes incentives for remote workers. And the pair discusses how the program might be improved going forward.

“We’ve been pretty agile in terms of how we adapt and we adjust,” Stapleton said in the interview. “We continue to look at that. … (Choose Topeka is) not something where we’re going to bring in a hundred or 200 people in any one year, but it still helps it be maintainable long term when you’re strategic about it.”
