Plug and Play Topeka channels Silicon Valley at Expo Day: ‘The biggest thing is this Midwest welcome’

Three months of preparation for 10 startups were realized Wednesday at Plug and Play Topeka’s Expo Day.

Using a hybrid approach that allowed some to present via Zoom, founders of those budding companies — ranging from a Singapore-based sustainable packing company to a San Francisco-based company automating drone inspections — presented business pitches before community members, potential investors and Plug and Play corporate partners.

The goal of Expo Day was to celebrate the startups’ completion of the three-month program and connect them with companies, including Plug and Play corporate partners, that might be interested in supporting their work. said Linsday Lebahn, manager of the Topeka cohort.
