New Co-Working Space Comes Online in Topeka
The founder of a new co-working space on S. Kansas Avenue says the creation of that business happened by accident.
Austin Roberson, founder of Gather, a recently opened co-working space at 534 S. Kansas Ave., said he decided to launch such an enterprise after struggling to find office space for a small software company he runs.
“What we realized was that we needed a smaller footprint, and there were a lot of people in the same boat,” Roberson said. “We didn’t need to take on a massive skyscraper. We didn’t even need to take on a whole floor of a building. We just needed a few offices and some amenities. So that was the accidental birth of this concept.”
