Caitlyn Halsey, owner of the business, opened the shop in spring of 2019 with the intention of employing adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The business model stuck, and two years later — despite opening less than a year before the COVID-19 pandemic hit Topeka — Dialogue Coffee House continues to grow and further its mission.
