Stormont Vail Health is a health system comprised of a 586-bed major regional medical center, Stormont Vail Health, and 180 primary care and specialty physicians in the Cotton-O’Neil Division. The system serves the region through its network of more than 20 outpatient care facilities located in northeast Kansas, including a Heart Center, Cancer Center, Digestive Health Center and Diabetes Center. Stormont Vail has the region’s only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the region’s only verified Trauma Center and a new, state-of-the-art Emergency and Trauma Center which opened in July 2009. Four ExpressCare clinics, three in Topeka and one in Osage City, provide after-hours care for minor illnesses and injuries without an appointment. Staff is available 24/7 with information on the more than 180 Cotton-O’Neil physicians, including which ones are accepting new patients.
